Store Associate

A store associate provides the best possible service to our customers on the selling floor resulting in repeat customers and increased sales. To achieve this goal, teamwork will be required among all employees. Certain non-selling tasks must also be completed in order to maintain exceptional customer service.

Qualifications:

INTERACTION:

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES [Essential Functions]:

  • Drive overall profitability through the development and analysis of targeted CRM strategies
  • Establish a profitable, long-term, one-to-one relationship with customers; understanding their needs, preferences and expectations
  • Support the management and development of a “best in class” loyalty program
  • Grow and maintain the Bealls and Burkes database through acquisition, retention and win-back strategies centered around effective lifecycle management
  • Develop a CRM promotional cadence that supports customer, product and financial goals

  • Establish testing and learning agenda around customer segmentation, offer and creative formats
  • Review performance reports and campaign insights, incorporating learnings into recommendations for future CRM programs

  • Partner with creative services, e-commerce and digital marketing teams to define seasonal strategies and tactics

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA Degree or educational background.  Must have an analytical background with the ability to use multiple data sets, technologies and analytical techniques to identify business opportunities and inform customer strategies
  • 5+ years of database experience
  • Proficiency in Tableau and SQL.  Experience with statistics, mathematics, finance, marketing, CRM or some combination of
  • Must be able to query large data sets and have the ability to communicate statistical/analytical findings to a non-technical audience
  • Persuasive communication skills – Clear, concise, and compelling; able to convey key insights to influence decision-makers
  • External: Strong and concise communication and negotiation skills with vendors

Lead Supervisor

The Lead Supervisor’s role is to handle all aspects of store operations, as instructed by the Outlet Store Manager. This includes, maximize the sales and profit of their retail location through leadership, sales management, talent management and execution of non-negotiable standards of operation, cost control, and asset protection, promote positive and productive teamwork among all associates.

The focus of the Lead Supervisor is to assist the Store Manager in building and sustaining a work environment staffed with engaged, high performing associates who create a thrilling consistent customer experience.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Strategic Business Planning/Operations
    1. Evaluate all reports to create store action plans to drive key performance indicators (KPI’s) and advance results around talent, operations, merchandising, financial and customer aspects of the business.
    2. In the absence of the Store Manager, perform payroll related functions by utilizing Company provided tools.
    3. Effectively process POS transactions in an efficient and friendly manner.
    4. Meet or exceed credit and email goals.
    5. Assist Store Manager in managing all aspects of payroll management and scheduling.
    6. Set clear goals and expectations for associates and hold them accountable for their responsibilities and objectives.
    7. Develop daily, weekly and monthly action plans. Ability to organize, delegate, prioritize, meet deadlines, hold team accountable and follow up on all activities within the store in order to meet Company standards.
    8. Knowledgeable in current policy, practices, trends, technology, and information affecting the stores within the district and the organization.
    9. Collaborate with Manager and Loss Prevention partner to champion shrink reduction programs and respond favorably to all shrink and safety opportunities. Establish a high level of shrink awareness to ensure all Beall’s/Burkes Outlet assets are protected.
    10. Execution of all company specific programs, reports and processes, policies and procedures.
    11. Communicates effectively by being clear and concise in both oral and written communication in order to ensure effective operations.
  2. Talent Management
    1. Working with Store Manager to network, attract and on board a diverse range of talented personnel.
    2. Assists Store Manager to actively manage succession planning with consistent attention to identifying, training and developing candidates.
    3. Directly influence talent development through effective coaching.
    4. Lead the training of all store personnel by using the materials provided by the Company.
  3. Merchandise Presentation
    1. Execute all corporate Merchandising and Marketing programs to drive sales and profits are executed within store.
    2. Assesses store layout and individual inventory levels to merchandise in the most effective manner. Escalates any inventory level discrepancies to Store Manager.
    3. Ensures the proper handling of merchandise functions within the store including markdowns, shipment, sizing and recovery.
    4. Execute all Company stockroom functions to ensure merchandise flow is maximized.
  4. Customer Focus
    1. Greet and assist all customers.
    2. Deliver a consistent customer experience by gaining trust and respect with our customer.
    3. Maintain a culture that builds exceptional internal and external customer experiences.
    4. Maintains high customer readiness standards and delivers a neat, clean and easy to shop store environment.
    5. Builds customer loyalty through coaching and motivating store team to solicit our One Card and OCCC Program.

LEAD SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include training staff; planning, assigning and directing work, rewarding and disciplining employees, partner with Store manager to resolve any complaints and problems within the store.

In the Managers absence, assumes responsibility of the store and team. Leadership is required in all operations of the store, such as Markdown completion, processing truck to the floor, clean and recovered store, and customer service standards.
