Pharmacy Technician

Job Requirements

• Ensures customer care and selling are #1 priority
• Demonstrates the highest level of confidentiality standards in handling of customer relations, medical and prescription records and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliance
• Demonstrates great phone etiquette and answers phone in a timely manner
• Operates Pharmacy cash register and Electronic Signature Capture (ESC) system according to policy and procedures in order to maintain accurate records of customer transactions
• Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly work area in order to maximize efficiency of the department, minimize errors, and promote excellent service
• Handles patient concerns in a professional manner
• Exhibits accuracy in all stages of the filling process (KARxE program)
• Enters prescription and insurance information into the computer, reducing audit risks by utilizing proper prescription procedures such as Dispense as Written (DAW), days supply and “take as directed” sigs (directions)
• Assists with filling and facing functions in the immediate area of the Pharmacy department as directed by the Pharmacy Manager or Pharmacist
• Utilizes the Inventory Management system in order to maintain proper inventory levels and reduce partial filled prescriptions, processes received orders, wholesaler returns, and expired returns, and navigates and utilizes Cardinal.com functions
• Operates the Pharmacy Computer system, including entering and extracting information for maximum efficiency of the department and accurate records and reports
• Abides by all State, Federal, and Sears Holdings Corporation (SHC) Pharmacy Rules and regulations
• Completes all SHC required training programs for Pharmacy associates and SHC technician training programs, including HIPAA training
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Pharmacy technician experience not required but experience in a customer service related atmosphere preferred
• Reading, writing, and basic math skills
• Repetitive standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting, stretching, and reaching skills
• Knowledge of and skilled in operation of computers
• Flexibility in scheduling requirements
• Ability to scan and bag all merchandise (typically 20-50 lbs.)
• Must meet all guidelines and regulations as prescribed or required by the state Board of Pharmacy in the state in which this position will practice
• Must be 18 years of age or older

Loss Prevention Associate

Job Requirements

• Ensures customer care and selling are #1 priority
• Practices operation invitation and positive customer interaction by smiling and greeting every customer that comes within working area
• Interacts with customers to determine and meet customer needs, provide assistance and support and ensure a positive shopping experience
• Understands the store layout, services and locations of merchandise Tours area of responsibility and prioritizes jobs as needed
• Effectively demonstrates “Take customer to the merchandise” policy and assists customers as needed
• Detects and respond to external theft incidents Is effective in detecting theft potential through external sources
• Effective in monitoring internal incidents and reporting to Loss Prevention Lead/Manager and Store Manger
• Monitors areas of visible shrink and assists in correcting deficiencies
• Assists in reporting and following up on customer accidents and assists to maintain a safe, clean store
• Assists in training store associates on proper safety procedures and equipment, loss prevention and shrink control measures/procedures
• Completes required inventories and audits at the request of the Store Manager and Loss Prevention Lead/Manager
• Works with Loss Prevention Lead/Manager utilizing loss prevention physical monitoring equipment
• Utilizes the Loss Prevention Information System and its reports
• Maintains a professional appearance and demonstrates a high level of confidentiality on internal integrity opportunities
• Accounts for and ships all outbound merchandise, including Genco/Vendor returns accurately and in accordance to Company policy
• Ensures all claims are processed and up to date on outbound merchandise deliveries
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Strong verbal, written and analytical skills
• One year retail experience, loss prevention experience or equivalent
• Must be able to make appropriate decisions in stressful situations
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
• Repetitive bending, lifting, stretching and reaching skills
• Must be 18 years of age or older

Customer Service

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensures customer care and selling are #1 priority.
• Knows the store, services and location of merchandise. Tours area of responsibility and maintains visual appearance of department.
• Makes eye contact, smiles and greets all customers that come within 10 feet. Demonstrates take the customer to the merchandise policy. Assists in handling and solving customer needs, issues or complaints.
• Demonstrates strong skill set in suggestive selling techniques.
• Ensures that promotional programs and Ads are maintained, signed and replenished for the entire event or ad.
• Checks discounted clearance merchandise weekly and ensure that items are properly ticketed.
• Supports all pricing, signing and display guidelines set by the pricing team.
• Supports all layouts and unit integrity as set by the Data Integrity team.
• Meets or exceeds the daily and hourly sales goals established for the department.
• Supports Counter Detail Program.
• Uses visual merchandising presentation to drive sales and maximize gross margin dollars.
• Maintains unit integrity and pricing accuracy to prevent waste.
• Keeps up to date on product knowledge, trends and seasonality that impacts assortment and merchandising.
• Understands basic apparel standards in regards to rack and wall merchandising, colors, styles and signing.
• Processes inbound freight and organizes per instructions.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Strong reading, writing, verbal, and arithmetic skills.
• Ability to lift and move merchandise, typically a minimum of 20lbs., but could be as much as 100lbs.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Repetitive bending, lifting, stretching and reaching.
• Positive and friendly demeanor.
• Ability to be cross trained.

Cashiers
