Workplace Operations Specialist

Netflix, the leading online movie and television subscription service, seeks a Workplace Operations Specialist to support our Amsterdam offices.  Reporting to the Manager of Workplace Amsterdam, this position is responsible for operations and maintenance of the Company’s Workplace.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and grow a team responsible for general building maintenance and building systems.
  • Be 1st PoC responsible for moves, coordinating smooth transitions from start to finish
  • Set up new vendors for outsourced services, send out RFPs and constantly strive to look to improve on our operational services
  • Coordinate day-to-day workplace activities of general repairs and maintenance including HVAC, utilities, pest control, janitorial, furniture, and equipment set-ups
  • Manage small construction/build projects
  • Manage related vendors, maintaining good working relationships
  • Confirm accuracy on finance operation, compare costs for goods and services against industry averages.
  • Troubleshoot, evaluate and make recommendations for maintenance operations systems and equipment

Requirements:

Events Coordinator

The Events Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the growing Awards team, working cross functionally with various departments at Netflix across key EMEA film festivals and awards.
Tasks are varied, extensive and timely. They will include but are not limited to: working with coordinators across the department to put in place a set of best practices that enable us to move quicker, bigger and better; supporting awards, festivals, and various other event  activations; coordinating with outside agencies and vendors to track contracts and ensure timely payment; assisting with meeting schedules and facilitation, including help putting together presentations and coordinating audiovisual needs; updating various lists, documents and charts on the department’s google drive; helping to coordinate the invite process; trafficking creative and screening asset requests; keeping an eye on the ever-changing events landscape industry-wide, and other duties as assigned.
The Events Coordinator, Awards EMEA will report into the Events Manager, Awards EMEA.

Technical Research Analyst

As Technical Research Support, you are responsible for driving improvements in the Netflix product and CS platform through investigation of escalated Netflix issues. You will provide technical escalation support to our global customer base and partners. You will think quickly, enjoy solving puzzles, and possess strong Netflix product knowledge. You will use great judgment in pursuing the right course of action without relying heavily on set policies to guide you. In addition to technical requirements, great interpersonal skills with our customers, partners, and peers are a critical component of success in this role.

You will:

  • You will handle in-depth technical and product based questions and escalations from customer service centers around the globe.
  • You will investigate and document complex technical issues impacting our service.
  • You will prevent negative impacts to Netflix and our customers by identifying trends and articulating them into actionable follow up and takeaways.
  • You will be assisting our Global Escalations team in coordinating the Customer Service response to service issues and outages.

You are / You have:

  • Fluent in English language, both written and spoken.
  • At least 2 year of experience in a technical troubleshooting role helping to determine root cause of technical issues.
  • You have strong computer troubleshooting skills including Mac OSX & Windows operating systems, hardware, software, home networking configurations, and internet connectivity issues.
