Chief People Officer

Virgin Trains USA (DBA: Brightline) seeks a Chief People Officer to join our executive management team and lead the human capital development of our fast-growing company. In addition to overseeing all human resources activities, the CPO will serve as the personal coach to other members of the executive team and be responsible for cultivating our unique culture as we rebrand as part of the Virgin group of companies. The Chief People Officer is responsible for developing and executing our people strategy as we disrupt the U.S. intercity travel market. We currently operate a new, high speed passenger rail system serving over a million passengers a year in Florida and seek to extend our model in Florida and to other highly congested travel corridors throughout the U.S. We are the first privately funded high speed passenger rail company in over 100 years and consequently need to assemble and support a team of highly skilled and entrepreneurial managers able to meet this unique challenge.

The CPO will ensure our organizational design, culture and talent management supports our mission. In addition, the CPO will possess broad human resources knowledge and enjoy mentoring a team of HR professionals to establish and enhance our back office systems, benefits programs, employee relations and internal policies.   • SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification.

Airport Team Member : An airport team member is mainly responsible for establishing relationships with customers and guiding travelers through the boarding process. Other essential duties are tagging luggage, processing registration information, issuing boarding passes, cleaning aircrafts. Moreover,  airport team members are expected to report daily operations to supervisors, and brief flight crews on important information about weather, cargo, etc. As for the requirements, it is essential for candidates to have at least 2 years of experience in the field in order to get employed. During the hiring process, workers who have an experience in the airline industry may be one step further. Moreover, since employees may be asked to lift heavy objects, during the hiring process they should prove that they can. Having computer skills is also a plus. This position is available both full-time and part-time. As for the salary, they start up earning $11.00 per hour.

Flight Attendant : This is a customer-oriented position. It has some requirements such as physical stamina and interpersonal skills. Differrnt from other airlines, Virgin America has no restrictions on applicant height for flight attendant positions. This company is looking for employees who can show that they are friendly, energetic, and personable. They are mainly responsible for serving beverages, meals,retrieving pillows, headphones, and blankets for customers, explaining safety procedures, and seatbelt operation. As for the salary, they earn $52.000 per year.
