Yard House is an American sports bar chain, with 66 locations across the United States, mostly located west of the Mississippi River. Founded in 1996 in Long Beach, California, by Steele Platt, Tom Yelenick, William Wollrab and Steve Reynolds. It now operates out of Irvine, California. Yard House was purchased by Darden Restaurants in 2012 for $585 million. The Yard House began its East Coast expansion in 2010, with a restaurant in the Legacy Place lifestyle center in the Boston suburb of Dedham.

Front desk employees work part time and with flexible schedules and earn 9 dollars an hour at the beginning.

Food Runner – Work in a team-oriented, high-volume, fast-paced, guest-centric environment to provide a dining experience to guest which distinguishes our restaurants as an upscale, casual eatery known for great food, classic rock, and the world largest selection of imported, craft and specialty ales and lagers. Assisting in providing a superior guest experience in the delivery high quality food items to order for our guests

  • Coordinating food orders to support timely and efficient delivery to each table

Server – Servers take orders, explain menu and specials, recommend food and drinks and help customer with their needs. Employees work part time but may be in need to fill up place of co-workers calling off. Servers stand, bend, lift and walk around during shifts. In order to do these physical tasks applicants must be healthy. Also social and friendly individuals gain more hiring consideration. The average server earns the federal minimum wage for tipped employees, which is around 3 to 4 dollars an hour.

Bussers – Another part time position at the Yard House, applicants do not need any experience in order to apply bussing jobs. Applicants must be at least 16 years old to apply. Bussers clean, dry and clear dishes. In addition, bussers take care of kitchen cleanliness and take out the garbage on a regular basis. Applicants must be able to work in fast paced environment and to stand for long periods. Employees start with minimum wage and get increases depending on experience.
