Second Engineer Officer

We are looking for 2nd Engineer Officers to join our friendly and professionally engineering team. Be part of Carnival UK’s specialist technical team and play a key role in the safe and efficient running of our luxury cruise ships, whilst you gain new skills in a people focused working environment, with opportunities for training, development and career progression.

You will run and maintain the state-of-the-art onboard machinery and equipment to keep the ship as safe and efficient as possible, as well as taking a leading role in the 24 hour watchkeeping team. Bar Tender

Our Bar tenders are an essential part of our guest experience team onboard; delivering an exceptional service to our guests. Working with an international and tight knit team you will be responsible for the preparation and service of drinks, ensuring our high company standards are maintained at all times. You will need to have a comprehensive knowledge of cocktails, beers and wines and be able to confidently and professionally provide information on these. You will have a clear understanding of your personal revenue targets, as well as the teams, and will be able provide advice and support to achieve these.

You will be expected to adapt quickly on each voyage, understanding any changes that may be needed in response to guest feedback. You will begin your journey attending our prestigious White Star Training Academy, providing you with the tools to embark on a successful career.

Third Engineer Officer

Our teams lead by example providing an exceptional Safety culture on board, you will be able to partake in inspections, training and meetings regarding environmental compliance and a safe HESS culture. You will also get the chance to pass your knowledge onto Cadets and Technicians to ensure tasks are undertaken safely.

Receptionist Apprenticeship

This programme consists of three-month rotations on board one of our impressive ships, combined with periods in college to focus on the academic aspect of your chosen career, and work within one of our local partner hotels.

Throughout the programme, you will learn what it takes to work within our operation, learning from everyone you meet. During your time onboard, you will work as part of Ship’s Company undertaking every aspect of your role in the reception. This experience will link directly to your apprenticeship qualification and provide a foundation to highlight you as a potential crew member of Cunard or P&O Cruises.

Pre-requirements –

Level 3 Customer Service Specialist

12 months experience in a customer focused role

Level 2 in Maths and English, Grade 4 GCSE in Maths and English

You must be a resident of the UK.

As the role involves working at sea, you will need to obtain and maintain the appropriate Maritime and Coastguard Agency medical clearance.

You will also be required to pass background and security checks as well as obtaining a United States C1/D seafarer visa.

The company meets all reasonable costs involved in obtaining your medical and visas.
